P3A - Sports Day Preparations

As Sports Day is fast approaching, P3A split into teams to practise some of the different skills and activities that will be displayed on the day.

We competed in many different trial-run races such as sprinting, egg and spoon (racquet and ball), obstacle races, hopping and hoop races. The learners had a ball and were so supportive of their teammates.

Looking forward to seeing the children show off their athleticism and good sportsmanship across all of the different races on the day, whilst soaking up all the fun experiences that Sports Day has to offer.

P3A - Telling the Time - Outdoor Learning

P3a have been doing so well when learning about time inside the classroom, that we decided to head outside to practise our time telling skills!

We worked together to sketch out an analogue clock on the ground and place the numbers in the correct places. After recapping the different minute intervals shown on a clock, pupils worked with their partner to pick a time to display on our outdoor clock.

Within each pair, one learner was given the role of the hour hand and the other was given the role of the minute hand. Once happy with their chosen time, learners had to use their bodies to display the time on the clock. The rest of the class were then able to guess the time each pair was showing.

This fun, interactive way of telling the time really helped to strengthen the fabulous learning that has been going on inside the classroom over the past few week.

Lots of amazing time telling happening within P3A.

P3B - Spider Art

Whilst we are reading Charlotte's Web this term alongside a story called 'Sidney Spider', we looked at different types of Spider Webs and the patterns they made.

The children then draw their own web and were encouraged to choose a pattern of colours to fill it in with.

They could then choose which art material they wanted to use for the colours. Some children chose painting, some chose craypas whilst some children mixed the two mediums! A few children also chose crayons and pens and pencils to complete their piece.

They look fantastic!
