We love learning about different cultures around the world and so, with Chinese New Year approaching quickly, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to find out about the different traditions and events that Chinese people participate in on and around Chinese New Year.
We even have a few experts in the class who were able to use their knowledge and experiences to tell us all about how their families celebrate!
Throughout the week, we have been researching facts about Chinese New Year, learning about the Lantern Festival and have even watched clips from London’s 2023 Chinese Dragon parade. Due to this, we spent some time designing our own Chinese Lanterns and creating little Parade Puppets. Learners had to follow instructions so carefully to construct these crafts but we have achieved great success!
