As part of our Street Beneath our Feet topic, we have been learning lots about what lives, flows, grows and lies underneath the ground. Thus, we have been learning all about fossils!
After learning about the role of Palaeontologists, we created our own fossil collages inspired by their work.
We used warm toned oil pastels to create abstract backgrounds that really highlighted the dinosaur bones within our piece.
After this, we shaded out some dinosaur bones using darker toned pastels to create shadows. Finally, we cut the bones out and arranged these onto our abstract background.
